christmas is no longer a religious holiday , actually. the origins are , but it hasn’t been a religious holiday for a long time. advertisers realised they could use christmas to get a lot of money , and it’s a time for families to get back together. just because we don’t believe in christ , doesn’t mean we shouldn’t celebrate christmas. if that was how the world worked , we wouldn’t get christmas holiday , or easter holiday , because only the christian’s would celebrate it. we wouldn’t have valentine’s day , because valentine’s days origins are from Christianity as well. most of the holidays celebrated globally are Christian. they are not ‘your holidays’. oh , and christ wasn’t born at christmas. he was born on the 6th of january , according to the best available evidence. rant over.

^^^^^^^^^^^THAT SO FUCKING MUCH. Christmas didn’t even start with Jesus. The Ancient Romans honored Saturn with a festival called Saturnalia every December. They exchanged presents, everyone even the slaves didn’t work, the spent time with loved ones, and had a large banquet. No, I’m not getting the presents for Jesus, because fuck Jesus. Honestly, suck my dick if you really give a fuck.
